respond at least 150 words There are several appropriate accommodations that can be made in the classroom environment to meet the needs of students with curvature of the spine, hip conditions, limb deficiencies, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and musculosketal disorders. One appropriate accommodation that can be used is allowing the student to take more frequent bathroom breaks. Students with curvature of the spine and hip conditions may have a week bladder which may cause them to have to go to the bathroom more. With allowing the student to go to the bathroom when he/she needs to, the student will not have to worry about having an accident in the classroom. Another accommodation that can be used is not having the students sit down too long. Students with limb deficiencies or juvenile rheumatoid arthritis may end up being in pain if they are sitting for too long. For instance, “The longer a student sits, the more likely he will experience stiffness and pain on movement” Heller, Forney, Alberto, Best, & Schwartzman, 2009, pg. 186). The teacher may allow the student to walk around the classroom to move themselves, like handing out papers, or create activities in lessons where students need to move around as a group.
